Tady někde kdysi byly ty debaty, v nichž jsem byl označen za neodpovědného hazardéra, když jsem tvrdil, že střelivo samo o sobě není nijak nebezpečné a (mj.) bych je klidně dal dětem na hraní, že?
Zrovna čtu Hatcher's Notebook: What actually happens. To get some reliable first-hand information of what really happens when a 12-gauge shotgun shell is exploded separated from the flesh only by a thin layer of cloth, as it would be in a shirt pocket, I took a bar of soap, covered it with a sheet, and laid a shell on the sheet. An ordinary cardboard box was inverted over that to catch any fragments. The pop was heard, followed by the rattle on shot. On lifting the box, the shot was scattered all around. There were no marks on the inside of the box, and no scorch or burn on the cloth, and the soap was not dented or bruised.
(Brutálně kráceno, doporučuji originál. Je to opravdu enormně zajímavé, v podstatě celé, byť třeba ta historie Springfieldek a podobně zdaleka ne tolik, jako tyto zkušenosti.) |
