La-La Land Records, Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Geffen Records present JURASSIC PARK, a limited 2-CD re-issue presentation of maestro John Williams’ (JAWS, STAR WARS, SCHINDLER’S LIST) original motion picture scores to the 1993 blockbuster JURASSIC PARK starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum and directed by Steven Spielberg. Williams’ monumental JURASSIC PARK score teems with thematic orchestral wonder and is celebrated as one of the composer’s most accomplished works. Produced, edited and mastered by Mike Matessino, (with fresh outputs of the 192k/24 bit master files utilized in our 2016 collection) this re-issue utilizes that material to re-create the original 1993 soundtrack album. This is featured on Disc 2 and is followed by the source music track “Stalling Around” (the composer’s homage to classic Warner Bros. cartoon music for Jurassic’s “Mr. DNA” sequence). Disc 1 showcases the entire main Score Presentation, which now includes, for the first time, the performances and mixes of “Journey To the Island” and “Dennis Steals The Embryo” as heard in the film. The 28-page CD booklet features liner notes by Matessino (adapted from our 2016 collection) and the new art design is by Jim Titus. This is a limited edition of 5000 Units.

Gabcik: Pravda, "The Secret Ways" bych taky bral, ale pokud se nepletu, tak původní nahrávky jsou údajně ztracené. Tak doufejme, že se najdou a John Williams nebude blokovat vydání soundtracku.

Ještě mě napadlo, nedávno jsem poslouchal úvodní sekvenci ze zapomenutého Willamsova dílka "The Secret Ways" z roku 1961, a hele ostinato jak z Duel of the Fates:) Tenhle soundtrack by mě moc zajímal, kdyby se podařilo ho zrekonstruovat..protože ta hudba zní parádně..

E-Wan: Díky za doplnění:)Pravda, tato díla jsem neslyšel už pěkně dlouhou dobu. Čelisti mě přitom kdysi v podstatě k filmové hudbě před více jak dvaceti lety přivedly. Možná paradoxně ale jiné motivy než onen nejslavnější žraločí. Dost se mi mění preference. Například posledních pár let se mi více líbí Williamsova tvorba z 90.let, resp. i díla po roce 2000, ale mám to tak i u Goldsmitha.
Každopádně díky za připomenutí. Je na čase zase se vrátit ke kořenům:)

Gabcik: Nevím, co považuješ za starší díla, ale řada z Williamsových nejslavnějších skladeb je založena právě na ostinatech, viz např. hlavní motiv z Čelistí (hlavní téma je ostinato samo o sobě), hlavní téma ze Supermana, "The Imperial March" z Impérium vrací úder, "Raiders' March" z Indiana Jonese, "Duel of the Fates" ze Star Wars Epizody I,... atd. Dovolím si tvrdit, že tyto skladby obsahují IMHO asi jedny z nejslavnějších a nejikoničtějších ostinat v celé historii filmové hudby.

Aman: Upřímně já byl na podobném koncertě jen jednou a vzhledem k tomu, že jsem seděl skoro vzadu a orchestr prakticky neviděl, tak jsem měl skoro stejný pocit jako v kině na běžné projekci filmu. Takže to byla pro mě v podstatě ztráta času a nijak zvlášť mě to neoslovilo.

A co jsem slyšel ze zákulisí těchto projekcí, tak orchestry velmi často nemají skoro žádný čas si celou partituru pořádně nazkoušet, takže těch kiksů občas nebývá málo a celková kvalita provedení není nic moc.

Pravdou je ale, že je to hodně populární a podobné projekce filmů s živým orchestrem jsou často vyprodané.

Když už, tak mě by zajímalo navštívit něco podobného, ale kde by hrál jen ten orchestr bez dialogů a zvukových efektů. Byla by to taková izolovaná hudební stopa naživo ;)
A v podobném seskupení vidět a slyšet naživo třeba takový první filmový Star Trek s Goldsmithovou geniální hudbou se všemi těmi neobvyklými hudebními nástroji, to by byl pro mě splněný sen. Ale muselo by to být dobře nastudované a nazkoušené, aby to k něčemu znělo. Ale to asi jen tak nehrozí, protože jenom zapůjčení a dovoz blaster beamu by asi stálo balík a sehnat lidi, kteří by nejen na blaster beam uměli zahrát by bylo takřka nemožné. Rozhodně asi ne v našich končinách.
